It has too many advantages such as an open source program, friendly user interface, and plenty of source data of dictionaries. How to use this program?
- Download and install Goldendict on your computer like other common program.
- Download dictionary source files in above formats and place them in a folder.
- Go to Edit and choose Dictionary like the follow image
- A new window appear and let you add the folder in which some source files have been stored before.
- Click Source tab and then Add button to select the folder containing dictionary files. Pretend that you put all files in dictionaries folder as follows
- Click Ok and wait a moment. That is all.
Một nhóm tác giả người Nga đã xây dựng một bộ tự điển đa ngôn ngữ đa nguồn miễn phí, hỗ trợ nhiều chức năng, đầy đủ hình ảnh minh họa và giọng phát âm chuẩn của người bản xứ, đặc biệt là hỗ trợ dữ liệu dạng nén, kể cả file *.bgl chuẩn của Babylon để tiết kiệm ổ cứng.
Từ đây người dùng có thể sở hữu một bộ tự điển đa ngôn ngữ miễn phí, bao gồm đầy đủ các tự điển nổi tiếng từng được LBVMVT giới thiệu cho việc học ngoại ngữ như Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary 3rd Edition (CALD3), Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 5th Edition (LDOCE5), Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary 8th Edition (OALD8), kể cả Lạc Việt Tự Điển 2009 (MTD9) với đầy đủ hình ảnh, phát âm giọng chuẩn y như tự điển gốc truyền thống.

Cách thêm từ điển dạng file DSL có kèm media files (Lingvo data) vào GoldenDict
- Download và giải nén toàn bộ các file có trong file nén vào một thư mục (sẽ thu được từ điển chính – dsl file, hình ảnh - jpg, âm thanh - wav). Ngoài ra có thể cho tất cả các file hình ảnh, âm thanh, video vào một thư mục rồi đặt tên theo quy luật: Giả sử tên file từ điển chính là abc.dsl hoặc abc.dsl.dz (dạng nén) thì tên thư mục tương ứng chứa file media sẽ là abc.dsl.files hoặc abc. dsl.dz.files. Thư mục con này được đặt ngang cấp với file từ điển chính. Thêm nữa, thư mục con abc.dsl. files hoặc abc.dsl.dz.files có thể được phép nén với định dạng zip.
- Mở GoldenDict, chọn menu Edit > Dictionaries > Sources > Files, bấm Add để chọn thư mục ở bước trên, bấm OK hoặc Rescan Now.
- Xong bước scan là ta có thể dùng.
Chú ý: Với bộ Oxford cũng như một số bộ khác, thư mục chứa dữ liệu từ điển sẽ không chứa thư mục con, kiểu như En-En-Oald8.pronuk...
Hãy cut/paste tất cả các file trong thư mục con đó vào thư mục chứa file dsl, Rescan lại trong GoldenDict.
Ngoài ra, để cho gọn, các file jpg, wav, avi có thể được cho vào một thư mục con đặt trong thư mục chứa file dsl. Thí dụ, file dsl là En-En-OALD8. dsl thì thư mục con chứa các file jpg, wav, avi sẽ là En-En-OALD8. dsl.files, cả hai cái này đặt trong một thư mục, chẳng hạn D:\Dictionaries\
Để thêm từ điển dạng file BGL (Babylon data), cũng đặt các file *.bgl vào một thư mục bất kỳ rồi làm tương tự.
Cách thêm Wikipedia và Wiktionary tiếng Việt vào GoldenDict
Vào menu Edit > Dictionaries...(F3) > Sources tab > Wikipedia tab. Dùng chức năng Add với Name và Address tương ứng như dưới đây rồi đánh dấu check vào cột Enabled cho hai mục mới thêm này: Vietnamese Wikipedia http://vi.wikipedia.org/w Vietnamese Wiktionary http://vi.wiktionary.org/w
Cách thêm các website tìm kiếm vào GoldenDict
Tương tự như trong thí dụ dưới đây, website vdict.com sẽ được thêm vào GoldenDict. Nếu tìm kiếm một từ khóa nào đó, thí dụ từ Việt Nam, trong website kể trên, link hiện lên trên thanh Address sẽ có dạng: http://vdict.com/Việt%20Nam,2,0,0.html hay http://vdict.com/Việt Nam,2,0,0.html Vào menu Edit > Dictionaries... (F3) > Sources tab > Websites tab. Dùng chức năng Add với Name và Address tương ứng như dưới đây rồi đánh dấu check vào cột Enabled cho mục mới thêm này: Vdict (hoặc tùy ý đặt tên) http://vdict.com/%GDWORD%,2,0,0.html
Trong đó %GDWORD% thay cho từ khóa, cụm ký tự này đã được GoldenDict hiểu là cụm từ nhập vào.
Tương tự, ta có thể thực hiện đối với các trang tìm kiếm khác mà ta muốn kết quả của chúng được hiện luôn trong GoldenDict. Link để tra keyword qua các trang: Tra từ (chính là Prodic online) http://tratu.soha.vn/dict/en_vn/keyword; Vietgle (chínhlà Lạc Việt online) http://www.vietgle.vn/tratu/tudien-truc-tuyen.aspx?t=AV&k=keyword. Tuy nhiên, việc hiển thị dữ liệu từ các website thường làm cho chương trình chậm đi đáng kể.
Sử dụng DictZip để nén các file dsl, dict giúp giảm dung lượng ổ cứng
GoldenDict có thể đọc được dạng file .dz khi nén các file từ điển trên thành dạng .dls.dz hoặc .dict.dz. Các bạn có thể tham khảo thêm về DictZip tại http://tinyurl.com/3r2o8eg. Các file media (jpg, wav, avi) có thể đặt vào một thư mục và đặt tên trùng với tên của file từ điển chính (để dễ quản lý). Thí dụ: File từ điển chính là Collins Cobuild English Usage.dsl.dz, thư mục chứa media tương ứng là Collins Cobuild English Usage.dsl.dz.files.
Nếu cần gọn hơn thì nén thư mục Collins Cobuild English Usage.dsl.fi les thành Collins Cobuild English Usage.dsl.files.zip rồi đặt hai file dsl và file dsl.files.zip trên vào cùng một thư mục. GoldenDict có thể đọc được dữ liệu dạng nén theo kiểu như vậy nhưng file nén dạng rar thì nó không đọc được.
